1:1 Super Clone TAG Heuer Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph 34mm Watches

At Watches and Wonders 2024, 1:1 super Replica TAG Heuer announced a new series of Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph 34mm watches that are smaller and notably more elegant than their 40mm counterparts, yet equally proficient in terms of performance and technology. The Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph was introduced to the TAG Heuer catalog in 2022, and the brand has since been expanding its range of solar-powered quartz divers with fresh variations. We had the opportunity to examine three of the latest models hands-on, spanning from sporty blue to sophisticated mother-of-pearl with diamond accents.

Introducing midsize versions of replica watches is not a novel concept, but it’s a trend that has gained traction in recent years. Offering collections in various sizes is a straightforward strategy to appeal to a broader audience, a trend particularly relevant today with the preference for smaller watches among men and larger ones among women. The cases of these compact Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph models measure 34mm in diameter, 40.6mm lug-to-lug, and 9.7mm thick—comfortable dimensions for smaller and midsize wrists. Replica TAG Heuer explicitly markets these as “designed for both men and women.” While men can certainly wear these watches, some models appear to be designed with women in mind, such as those featuring a mother-of-pearl dial with diamond hour markers or without diamonds. Among the three options, the rich blue variant stands out as my favorite, as a dive watch with a blue dial naturally resonates. Examining the dial closely, one can appreciate the sunburst finish and turquoise accents, known as Polar Blue in TAG Heuer’s terminology, adorning elements such as the seconds hand, minute track plots, and SOLARGRAPH inscription.

Given that these watches are powered by light, the transparent dials conceal solar panels beneath them to capture sunlight. Consequently, one notable feature of these watches is the thickness of the dials; the date window sits noticeably deeper compared to a standard dial. Color-matching the date disks to the dial could potentially reduce this depth’s visibility.

The new 34mm Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph is powered by the Caliber TH50-01 solar-powered quartz movement, developed exclusively for TAG Heuer in collaboration with La Joux-Perret. This movement charges with both natural and artificial light, requiring just two minutes of direct sunlight for a full day’s charge. With less than 40 hours of sunlight exposure, the movement can continue running for up to 10 months without any light. Additionally, if the watch stops running, a mere ten seconds of light exposure is sufficient to restart it. While La Joux-Perret is a well-established Swiss movement manufacturer, it is owned by Citizen, renowned for its Eco-Drive solar-powered watches, suggesting the sharing of top-notch solar technology from the parent company to the movement maker.

While the 12-sided bezels of the Aquaracer Professional 200 Solargraph 34mm retain the signature silhouette, several details render them more elegant than their 40mm tool-watch counterparts. For instance, the bezels are polished rather than brushed, and the engraved numerals are sandblasted rather than luminescent. Furthermore, the bezel tabs, alternating between the numerals, feature sandblasted centers. In summary, the bezels on the 34mm versions exhibit more ornate detailing compared to those on the 40mm Solargraphs. An appealing blend of brushed and polished surfaces can be found throughout the watches, from the case flanks and lugs to the three-link bracelets with folding clasps.

It has been 20 years since the introduction of the Aquaracer name, and the collection has expanded to include a wide range of dive models—over 60 by recent count. The Solargraph subset is an attractive option for enthusiasts of solar-powered watches, and the addition of smaller options is always welcome. While starting at $2,150 USD and reaching up to $5,000 USD for diamond-set versions, these sporty diving watches offer good looks and robust construction, making them an appealing choice for new or younger watch buyers seeking the practicality of solar charging coupled with the prestige of a renowned Swiss brand like TAG Heuer.
